By accessing ECHO-STATE Compendium ("the site", "the Compendium") you agree to these Terms of Service in full. They form a binding agreement between you and ESC_Network governing your use of the site. If you do not agree with any part of them, please discontinue use of the Compendium.
We have kept these terms as readable as a patch note. Please read them carefully — they explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and the limits of our responsibility.
1. Acceptance & eligibility
By using the site you confirm that you are at least the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction and that you are able to form a binding agreement. If you use the Compendium on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. Editorial content & Meta-Scores
All archives, reviews and Algorithmic Meta-Scores are editorial opinion derived from our published methodology and weighted sub-metrics. Scores reflect our analysis at the time of writing and may change as titles are patched or as our methodology is refined. The six titles featured in the Compendium are fictional works created for demonstration; any resemblance to real products, studios or persons is coincidental. Nothing on the site is a statement of objective fact about a real-world product.
3. Intellectual property
Text, scoring logic, page layout, code and original artwork are the property of ESC_Network unless otherwise credited, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to our pages, and quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not republish, sell, or create large-scale derivative works from our content without written permission.
4. Community contributions
Community fanart and reader submissions remain the property of their respective creators and are displayed with appreciation and, where possible, credit. If you are a creator and would like your work amended or removed, contact us and we will act promptly. By submitting content to us you grant ESC_Network a non-exclusive license to display it in connection with the Compendium.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you agree not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
- scrape, harvest or index the site at abusive rates or in violation of these terms;
- submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious content through the Comms Channel or newsletter forms;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization;
- introduce malware, or probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system without our written consent.
6. Submissions
Information you transmit through our forms is handled per our Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential information you are not authorized to share. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of anything you send us, and you confirm that your submissions do not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Third-party links
The Compendium may link to external websites for reference or context. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites. Following an external link is at your own discretion and risk.
8. Availability
We work to keep the Compendium online and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site — including features, archives or scores — at any time and without notice, for maintenance, improvement or any other reason.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Scores and analysis are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be treated as professional, financial or purchasing advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESC_Network will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Compendium. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by applicable law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves or as legal requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through our Comms Channel. We are happy to clarify anything before you continue using the Compendium.
